Whatever happened to âan apple for the teacherâ? I suppose it wasnât ever the actual thing that comics made it out to be. Certainly didnât happen around me in the 50s and on.
I love Mrs Olsen. Itâs here type of teachers that really lay a base for childrenâs acceptance of education. She cares. I was not tough like her when I was a teacher. But, I knew a few of my colleagues who were. I knew they were good for the children, and the children learnt that too, by and byâŠ
Yup, did that. We potted a lady slipper and gave it to our daughterâs kindergarten teacher. She sent back a lovely note. She replanted it and let us know itâs a protected plant. We shouldnât have dug it up!
@ms72 My mom was a realtor back in MA. She dug up a bunch from a lot that was going to be developed and planted them in our yard. She knew she shouldnât but figured theyâd be torn up the the âdozers otherwise.
