Who’s going to pay for all this spending ? President Trump and his Congressional allies had already given $1.5 trillion to their rich buddies in tax cuts, increasing the debt. ..Now these, likely needed but unpaid-for, expenditures to restore the economy from an unexpected gut punch.
When Congress gets back in session, we must examine our spending habits of “just putting on the card” and not worrying about it. After all, unknown and yet unborn Americans will foot the bill, either directly with taxes or from future economic collapse, to pay for our unsecured spending.
Americans have always helped each other out in times of need. It’s now time for all of us, especially those of us who can most afford it, to step up and devote actual hard cash for the future solvency of our Country. This ballooning debt is not only out of control, it’s shameful.
If not, here’s my question : Why all the debate in Congress about who should get money and who shouldn’t ? If we’re going to just put it on the card and forget about it, why not just borrow enough to give everybody everything ? What difference does it make ?
Pretty soon our interest payments will eclipse any other spending.

Deficits were already exploding BEFORE Coronavirus. You haven’t seen anything yet. When Trump bragged “I’m the King of debt”, he wasn’t kidding.

Does Varvel understand that an economy requires living people to operate?

Three months after the first U.S. case of the novel coronavirus was reported, the country still has NO national testing strategy.
NONE
And NO plans to have a national strategy.
.
Because Varvel and the other Trump Disciples worship Their Messiah and Their Messiah is incapable of devising a national strategy.
And The Disciples never noticed that The Greatest Negotiator in Human History was not capable of negotiating with the Speaker of the House.

Nice to see some reality from M. Varvel. Too bad that this admin so badly exacerbated the debt BEFORE the pandemic hit.

The flu pandemic of 1918 was 10 times worse than Covid19. We didn’t shut the country down over it.
