Old fashion TV’s still but have remotes for our DVD players as we don’t watch regular TV but our collection of DVDs. Tonight we rewatched a couple of episodes of Charmed. Got a later start so no movie for tonight. We will watch one on Sunday night though.
Earl you should leave the remote on the TV area (if you don’t need it and are watching the show through) or end table as hard to see in the comic if there is one, so you have it handy, that is what my hubby asks me to do.
I have two remotes that control my TV. One is for over the air channels, the other is for any streaming channels or components like the DVD player. So frustrating when you push buttons and nothing happens. When I finally realize that I have the wrong remote, I keep telling myself that I have been stupid again.
I haven’t seen this happen in years. Dad bought our first color TV around 1960. It had a primitive remote. Every time Bounce, our dog, scratched the channel would change. The tags on his collar would bang against each other. Dads solution was to Duct Tape the tags, “Problem Solved”
I watch TV in my bed in the evening so I will have both cats and my dog on the bed watching with me. It’s happened more than once that one of them gets up and steps on the remote messing up whatever I’m watching at the time. Sometimes I think they do it on purpose just to get a private laugh :-)

I did something close to that tonight. The TV went on search mode so I knew I must have accidentally pushed a button on the remote control.
It took me a couple of minutes to find it.

Opal’s right: the TV is haunted. By Roscoe’s butt.

I think I would give that remote a good cleaning.

At least he didn’t chew it up like my brother’s dog did.

Remember when TV sets had dials? My father’s idea of “remote control” was telling me to get up and change the channel.
