Over on ‘Calvin and Hobbes’, I’ve commented that the problem for Calvin and Susie is they are the only kids in their neighborhood, but they hate each other. In ‘Peanuts’, Charlie Brown is in a neighborhood with lots of kids, but they don’t all like him. Even Linus isn’t always the best friend he could have. If there is an area Schulz and Watterson agree, it’s that making friends as children is tough. Charlie does follow Ralph Waldo Emerson’s admonition that the only way to have a friend is to be one. Not everyone else follows that however.

As he’s been forced into a dead end job with a paper bag on his head, would that make him a “Cul de Sac”?

Bag, surely.

Oddly appropriate given how much of a sad sack Charlie Brown is in his crapsack world.

Wear the title with pride, Charlie!
I know that “OK Boomer” is supposed to be derogatory, but I wear the title “Boomer” with pride.

This is what happens when you walk around with a paper bag over your head. You miss things. Don’t try it.
