Oh dear. Does Elly actually expect Mike to be able to read cursive? His eyes are already glazed over. April, on the other hand, seems to have no trouble reading the giant list of instructions. Maybe she can explain them to Michael.

Weird thing… I was babysitting at the age of 10, yet my parents didn’t let me babysit my younger siblings. Probably a good idea ;)

She must have written those instructions down every time April did something new because I refuse to believe she wrote those down while getting ready.

I watch my baby sister while my parents were working when I was 8 years old.

You know, I am thinking this is almost ‘child abandonment’ these days. Sad how times have changed. It seems kids grow up faster but seem to mature slower than any time in history.

Little bonding time?

I felt sorry for my older sisters ,mom always made them babysit whe she went shopping,or really busy doing chores around the house ,my big sisters were the best!!! None of the other kids picked on me at all!!

I took more care of my 4 years younger sister, than our mother did!

How ironic. Elizabeth once worried that Michael would leave her all alone to babysit April, and now here she is doing the same to him.

Horrible thing to do to a young boy…

My sister lived next door and I was always “expected” to baby sit – for free …By the time I got to high school and she moved elsewhere I had changed enough diapers to last a life time.When I got married I made my wife understand, if SHE wanted children, I would not change a diaper!.NEVER DID!…Just had our 47th anniversary…And have Grand Children….

Back in the 60’s baby sitting is how I made enough money to buy a motorcycle. That and my paper route, mowing lawns, and any other odd job I could get. We didn’t have video games back then.

Oh, the stories I could tell… but I won’t. 8^)

“Written down a few instructions?” That deer in the headlights look on Michael says it all. Parenting is definitely not for the fainthearted.

Fortunately we know that both Michael and April survived the experience.
