There is nothing wrong with talking to yourself, nor is there anything wrong with answering yourself, but when you say something to yourself and then say, ā€˜what was that? I wasnā€™t listeningā€™, that is a sign that youā€™re in trouble.

I tend to avoid talking to myself. Iā€™m such a bore.

I told myself one time that I needed to quit drinking. But then I decided, why should I take advice from an old drunken fool.

I once got into an argument with myself and refused to speak to myself for three straight days.

I donā€™t need to talk to myself, I can read my mind.

Itā€™s when you have an argument with yourself and you lose that youā€™re in trouble.

A coworker caught me thinking out-loud to myself and asked if I was talking to myself. I replied, yes I was, and it was rude of her to interrupt my conversation.

Now that Iā€™m working from home, I find myself talking my way through my opening routine, "Open this program, click ā€œAccept cookiesā€, User name (ticka, ticka) password (ticka, ticka) etc. So not only do I know what I am going to say before I hear it, I can tell you what Iā€™m going to say first thing Monday morning.

I donā€™t know till it happens. Iā€™m not quite the conversationalist I once fancied myself.

I think.. the only time I talk to myself is when cursing after doing a boo-boo like hitting your thumb with a hammer.. or stubbing your toe.

I do hear it before I say it, but somehow itā€™s not real until I say it out loud.

Itā€™s okay to talk to yourself.

    Itā€™s even okay to answer.

If you argue, we have a problem.

Then thereā€™s the old joke where two ladies are working in a small office.

One keeps talking to herself, and finally says: Does it bother you when I talk to myself?

The second lady says: No, notā€¦

And the first lady says: So who asked you?

My grandfather talked to himself a lot. When I asked him why, I replied " Because I like to talk to someone intelligent every now and then."
