That will teach you to save your old shoes for those really nasty jobs. You should have told your mom that those old shoes were too nasty to wear for special occasions as they made her look cheap and conned her into buying the new shoes for dress-up occasions and saved the old ones for when dad made you work off the cost of the new ones. Like Calvin (mentioned by previous commentator) you need to think these things through beforehand, especially if this is a typical dad response. Act in haste, repent in leisure.
