ground beef 3.99 usd only in family packs of four or more pounds so 16 or so usd per pack, hamburgers and meat loaf have become a luxury, not a staple in our kitchen.

I wish I had my mother’s meatloaf recipe. I thought it was in the Betty Crocker book, but that’s not quite right.

We should all learn to complain less right now. When I was kid, I had this jokebook, and it had this joke my mom didn’t like. A kid asked why his family didn’t have a garbage disposal, and the parents said ‘shut and eat your dinner.’ I’m not what she hated more; the parent being mean, or the implication of a family eating their garbage. Or maybe the kid had to eat everything so they wouldn’t have to throw stuff away.

Hey kid – slip your portion to the dog and everyone will be happy.

my dog gets 2 different flavors of wet food alternated every other day and the same dry food daily; he doesn’t care as long as there is food in his bowl.

I would give a $1,000 dollars to sit and have a Meatloaf Dinner with my Grandpa one more time.
