I retired after 40+ years in the work force. For the most part I was happy with my employers and the work; but was by no means did I love them as some folks profess. Occasionally someone asks me if I miss work. I tell them that I missed employment for the 30 seconds for the door to close behind me when I left on my last day.

I’ve worn jogging pants for the last 15 years since I retired. And no I don’t run!

Months ago I thought I could coast through my job until I retired. Last week the uni where I work suffered a malware attack which destroyed my computer and the campus network. Looks I’ll be limping toward retirement instead.

That would be me. Coat and tie for 40 years and now I live in blue jeans and t-shirts.

I was lucky… I’m a retired software engineer and I always wore jeans and no collars to work. No wardrobe change required.

I’ve always been comfortable in the dress slacks and oxford shirts I wore to school and later to work. I only hated the ties and they did away with those around 1990.

I wore a ‘uniform’ to work. I had five sets. On my last week of work, each day when I took it off, it went in the trash.

A former mild mannered office worker. He did keep the glasses so he may still be hesitate to fully expose himself.

I worked from home for the last few years of my employment, so retirement for me was just going from spending a few hours a day on the computer and telephone to not.

Retired end of Feb. Dang….couldn’t hang out with friends in public places for several months. Went to a base yesterday for several different reason, and EACH building had a wash stand by the front door and one had to wera a mask to get inside. Hard when your’e in a med appt and are all sweaty in the face under the mask. Glad I live in GA, it’s much more fun retirement now!

Glad he is who he is now. Sometimes people have no idea who they REALLY are until they have time to decide what to become after they retire. Personally I LOVE IT!
