Doctors yip and yip at us, to not eat saturated fats/cholesterol-laden foods and keep our sodium levels low, to help lower our cholesterol. Then scientists say there is no proof that such a food regime lowers your cholesterol levels. Hmmm… Anybody else see a contradiction here?
Oh, I never eat eggs w/o the yolk- why bother? Job 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
I am not a doctor and this is just a suggestion after reading some comments but this will explain about tests. It will tell you why a test has been ordered, how to prepare for the test, what the results mean, and help you to ask questions when you see your doctor. It has some technical information but most of the information on the site is very, very easy to understand.
Lots of the regulars in my restaurant are like that: Only time they change their orders is, by doctor’s orders… “Skip the bacon and eggs and home fries, I’ll have oatmeal and black coffee.” ;)

I eat saved animal fats from cooking to cook other foods in. Saves money and my cholesterol is better now than ever before.

My Dr. always tells me to fast before a blood test.

Egg yolks contain 90% of the nutrients and the cholesterol in eggs has zero impact on blood levels. That was determined two decades ago.

Wow!! I’ll have what he’s having… except leave the yolks. Oh, and a side of whole wheat toast. Thanks!

Hah! I have a diner nearby that offers scrambled “Egg Beaters” for just such an occasion. “Egg Beaters” are just colored egg whites. :)
