Uh oh.

There’s trouble a-brewing!

Events continue to overtake G.T. and make his “magic realism” look silly. A couple of weeks ago, when everyone except the administration was calling for a no-fly zone to contain Qaddafi, Trudeau thought he’d found a neat way to abort Jeff’s fantasy operation.

Now the strip appears without the no-fly zone in place. While the real Qaddafi sallies forth to bomb the rebels, his alter ego Triffbumfarts imagines he’s trapped in his palace. Jeff’s mission is destroyed by magic, not by realism.

Within the fiction, the funniest thing is Zipper miscalling the interceptors an “escort.” Zipper is just as clueless as the rest of us, waiting for G.T.—our Wizard of Oz—to pull back the curtain.

A no-fly zone? What, did something happen to Obama?

It seems that Jeff’s pre-mission briefing was a little too brief.

I have confidence that a couple of guys who floated through college playing video games can figure this one out.

…neither is it a good sign when (even for only one panel) His Excellency is the voice of reason in any given strip.

I think that Mr. Overkill (or duke) will make a phone call to someone whom can call the escort fighters off!

Don’t worry Sir, the French are enforcing the No-Fly_Zone from bunkers across the sea. The Arab league are debating, so their is only one country to actually put a jet in the sky. Suckers!
