I’m trying to work out what Zonker means about Woodstock being the template for all that follows.

Weed is legal and haircuts are illegal, it took nearly 50 years but the hippies won!

Zonker is in for a rude awakening.

Unfortunately both Zonker and Bob Dylan(Times They Are a Changin) were wrong and the boomers were and still are pretty reactionary even voting for Nixon in 1972. People did not realize there were more Al Bundys than Zonkers in their high school class in 1969.

I have enjoyed this arc, and the attendant commentary. Good to reminisce will all of you. Howzabout they rerun the one where Uncle Duke doses just before addressing a group of young Republicans?

If only Woodstock had become the template for all that followed. It was peaceful, nobody died, nobody walked around with monstrous guns hanging off their bodies, cops didn’t beat anybody to the ground, and some folks who got married there, have stayed married for 50 years.
