I had a swing set in my back yard and tried to do this. Of course, I failed, but there was enough force that the swing set kept sliding in and out of the GROUND! My Dad then had attached some chains and supports to anchor the set better into the ground.

I used to make the swing go as high as I could and then jump off. It might explain my knee and lower back pains 55 years on.
