Day 50 of the Georgia Economic Recovery. A gorgeous day here, worthy of celebrating freedom.

    “Die for the Dow!”

“After all, if your long-term medical problems, hospitalization, and even death helps a multi-national company buy back just a single share of its own stock, won’t it be worth it?

“It’s a sacrifice that the idle rich are prepared to make!”

    (Or is that stupid?)

“You know the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit the views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.”

Some of my best friends are people. When they get together in great numbers, other people often suffer.

The disturbing percentage is the 40-some percent of Americans who are ok with being on the same side as the Klan. They elected the Klan-endorsed candidate in 2016, and they declared solidarity with them by embracing Hillary’s “deplorable” term.

It’s no coincidence that Trump planned rallies on Juneteenth at the site of the Tulsa massacre, and in Jacksonville on the anniversary of the ax handle Klan riot.

Raise that 1% and you get Sturgeon’s Recursion: 90% of everything is crap; 90% of the rest is also crap.
