I used to do that to my poor brother, Raymond. When you turned off the television, you could hear the static electricity crackling. If you rubbed the screen with the back of your hand, you could gather a pretty good charge, assuming you were wearing tennis shoes. Then bring your finger near Raymond’s lower ear lobe. You could often get two good sparks, sometime three. (I used to be bad.)
Those were the days. My brother and I shuffling around on the living room shag carpet desperately trying to be the first to build up enough static electricity to give the other one a small spark!
