I avoid my image in mirrors except for extreme closeups for grooming chores. When I do see myself, I’m always shocked that my mental image of years ago is wrong. The Doc Brown/Einstein shock of gray hair, courtesy of the Quarantine, doesn’t help.
Last year this couple brought in an adorable Doberman puppy (we allow dogs in, on leash, at my place of work). We all greeted and petted the pup and smiled, chatted with the owners. A few weeks later they came in and the puppy had it’s ears taped up with sticks and they had obviously been trimmed. Not one of us greeted them, some of us wiped our smiles off did not make eye contact with the owners but did pet the pup with and spoke sweetly to it.They came in again, same treatment. We haven’t seen them since. Don’t need customers like that. Poor dog.

Will: “Do my ears really look like this?”
Kenny: “Will, how can you see your ears with that huge nose in the way?”
(…quickly ducks a flung mirror…)

He’s lucky it isn’t a mirror with a 3X glass on the other side. I occasionally pick mine up the wrong way and get scared to death!

No, your ears do not really look like that. “Humans” decide to surgically alter them so that you might do their dirty work for them.

Happily the cutting of dog’s ears is becoming a thing of the past.

Will is earritated…but at least he didn’t wax poetic. Perhaps he wanted to drum up support for his viewpoint.
