bmonk, I got up to page 389 in the Necronomicon and I could read no further. Fortunately that was the page with the secret of making good chocolate chip cookies so it was all right.

I read Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath when I was on summer break during college (a while back). I was sitting in an arm chair in my parents’ home in Marblehead, Massachusetts when I got to the punch line at the end of the story. When Marblehead was mentioned by name, I couldn’t help laughing out loud…. (It is a pretty town, btw, and gem-like in its own way.) However, I’m not so much of a Lovecraft fan that Chtulhu was the first thing I thought of (and I’m a little sad about that)….
