No ya dummy southerner, ahā€™s from down east. Do ah sound like a Kennedy? Ah ken tell the difference between an ā€œHā€ and an ā€œRā€. Anā€Rā€ is never used at the end of a word. but may be substituted by an ā€œHā€. Donā€™t they teach grammah down south?

Hey, Bill Thompson! Iā€™m proud of you. Yours is the only Lovecraft reference in the Comments, and itā€™s the 1st thing I thought of when I read this comic. Great minds think alike, I suppose.

When you pay $5 for it to fish with, itā€™s Squid. When you pay $10 for it as an appetizer, itā€™s Calamari

I wonder if itā€™s vice versa in Italy.

bmonk, I got up to page 389 in the Necronomicon and I could read no further. Fortunately that was the page with the secret of making good chocolate chip cookies so it was all right.

I read Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath when I was on summer break during college (a while back). I was sitting in an arm chair in my parentsā€™ home in Marblehead, Massachusetts when I got to the punch line at the end of the story. When Marblehead was mentioned by name, I couldnā€™t help laughing out loudā€¦. (It is a pretty town, btw, and gem-like in its own way.) However, Iā€™m not so much of a Lovecraft fan that Chtulhu was the first thing I thought of (and Iā€™m a little sad about that)ā€¦.
