Cartoons have changed a bit since my day!

They can’t make Loony Toons like they used too.

The roadrunner ate too. Bird seed. And then the coyote would look perplexed that his trap hadn’t worked properly.

The coyote tried to eat a boot once, I remember that….

Avatar is really good! I finally got to watch now that it’s on Netflix.

Easy grandpa, Looney Tunes and Popeye are epic legendary cartoons, Just have a seat and give Avatar a chance.

The torch has been passed on, alas!

Our cartoons were removed for inciting random violence. These newer cartoons incite violence but with a message!

As Doctor Toon I have tried to at least be aware of modern animated cartoons and I’ve checked out a lot of webcomics too

Not quite as old as grandpa here, but my tastes likely run more similar to his than the kids

They can’t make ‘toons like the old ones because they got all PC about it. They figure blowing people up isn’t right. Think that kids will try to imitate how they shoot Daffy Duck in the face and his bill will spin around his head a few times. Parents have to tell the kids how you really can’t fall off a two mile high cliff and live, but the kids will automatically know that Thor and Dr. Strange can’t really do that stuff.

I’m on a rant. I’ll stop now.

not when they take Elmer and Yosemite Sam’s guns away. Funny how the older generation instinctively knew not to emulate those characters

Many a parent, long ago, tried to use “eat your spinach so that you can be strong like Popeye”. We knew it was silly but ate our greens anyhow.

I sure miss “BEEP BEEP!!!”

I’m in my 50’s and I’ve watched the entire Avatar:The Last Airbender series through twice! It’s excellent, like a novel.
