As I get older, some things in the world get worse, some things get better. One of the best is that the Skinnerian behaviorism that once dominated American university psychology departments is pretty much dead.
Behaviorism could never answer the charges that it was deterministic and that it denied free will and thus the efficacy of thought. It was eventually supplanted by cognitive psychology, which actually believes people can think! Too bad behaviorism set back the slow progress of psychology to become an actual science by at least a generation .
And speaking of generations, it appears the joke here belongs to a generation later than mine. Enjoy, children! I think I’ll have a nap now.

Sheesh! Haven’t played Wumpus since the 60s on a friend’s “computer” from his job. Had to have it because he was on call 24/7.
