The other question Hobbes should have asked was “Do you feel lucky, punk? Well do you?”

I’m trying to figure out panel nine. Does Calvin have a second set of eyes? His head doesn’t seem to be in motion.

Don’t worry about Hobbes, he’s actually very soft inside.

Calvin’s always hyperthetical. Hypo- not so much, though.

Next to last panel we see Calvin asking himself the question that we ask ourselves at various times of our lives: Is it worth it?

No Calvin, that question was not ‘hypothetical’ at all. (I like better the strip was Hobbes dissuades Calvin from throwing a water balloon just by saying ‘As if life isn’t short enough already’. Only dialogue in that whole Sunday strip.)

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

It must be handy to have an external conscience. Jiminy Cricket might not be as useful as a large tiger.

If I remember there was one similar to this ( that I’ve been looking for for years ) They were playing Calvinball and asked about doing something and if you did, it wouldn’t turnout very well.
