Haven’t seen those classic plush Garfield dolls suction cupped to a car window in ages. (At least we get a change of pace and see Odie — whose birthday was yesterday — have a moment in the spotlight.)

Garfield’s situation in the first panel explains how those car things were inspired. Too bad it took Garfield getting his tail caught in the car door to inspire their creation!

There’s a lesson for you: a small reality is better than a grand dream…

After I got a brand new Pontiac, in 1964-65, a gasoline company had a cute campaign and said “put a tiger in your tank”! They sold tiger tails and you were able to secure them In the gas door….they flapped in the wind…it was hysterical! God, I really miss those days….

Awww, kinda sweet how the little pup is just as happy with the small bone as the gigantic dream one. Garf would be all snarky, the Odester is like “well that works too”. Good dog.
