Stuck between a rock and a hardly place?
“I am master of this college. What I don’t know isn’t knowledge.” Henry Beeching
Every school, the Peanuts gang is in the same grade(s) and they don’t advance.
“So says the great professor Of all there is to know”
At least in the Peanuts world there is still a lot of respect for their teachers.
In another strip, Sally says she doesn’t have to go to school any more cuz she went yesterday.
Because you’re the middle-woman…girl…whatever…
In a Danish translation of this strip, Sally said: “In that case, there’s not point in going on, is there?”
Not that it matters that they go back. They’ll end up in the same grade anyways.
She will end up being in middle management.
Hang in there Sally, when you get to be 16 years old you automatically know everything
Don’t forget the face masks if you go back to in-person school!
Knowledge is knowing it all. Wisdom is what happens when you realize you really don’t.
“Two weeks”?
Anybody have any kids who only go back to school after Labor Day? [in a normal year of course]
“Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don’t.” ~ Pete Seeger
Right now, a number of people are questioning how we do education. Schulz used Sally as conduit for his own critiques of education.
Sally, you can always post in the comments section and act like you know everything.
I like learning just enough to be dangerous. And annoying.
An adage I heard very young that has stayed with me, “If I knew a little more, I’d know how to solve the problems I have. If I knew a little less I wouldn’t realize they were problems.” Feel your pain Sally, feel your pain.
Wasn’t that V’Ger’s problem?
That won’t happen until you turn 16, at least that’s when I had it all figured out.
