The city of Baghdad was founded in the 8th century as the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate, by its caliph al-Mansur. The original city was designed in the shape of a circle two kilometres across. The circle was the caliph’s tribute to the geometric teachings of Euclid, whom he had studied and admired. Now, with Baghdad having originally been known as the “Round City”, I can well imagine Lucy walking along with Violet or Frieda, catching sight of Charlie Brown and staring at his head for a moment, and then saying, “You know, I learnt a really interesting fact about Baghdad at school today…”
Back in the days of the Gulf War, I told a few of my co-workers that I had heard on the news they had arrested one of Sadam Hussein’s sons. They all went, “Really??”

But, Peppermint Patty, the pinch-hitter you’d use would call you ‘Sir’! :-D

But the pinch hitter has to be sent in before the pitch is thrown. She should know that.

If she were in the Cash Cab, she could use either a Street Shout-out, or a Mobile Shout-out.
