This has virtually already happened with nhl stadium seies.
It gets so hot and humid in central VA, they have to play badminton in the den.
No region should have pro hockey unless, at some point during the winter, kids can play a pick-up game on a local pond. Southern states just should not have have hockey. Hockey in Vegas is just, well, unnatural.

Hockey in a swimming pool? That’s called “water polo”.

They had knee-high ice? Rink ice is typically ¾ to 1 inch thick.
maybe they should switch to field hockey during the summer.
