Today is:

National Chocolate Wafer Day. I don’t have any chocolate wafers in the house, but I do have a chocolate cake. And it has some awesome chocolate fudge frosting on it. Anyone want a piece?

National Eat your Beans Day. Well, my beans aren’t ready to pick yet. I figure about a week to ten days and I’ll be picking loads of green beans.

National Fried Clams Day. No, thank you. Someone else can have mine.

On another note, we get a newsletter with the utility bill each month. The one yesterday had the following things listed for the July 4th holiday:

July 4: public pool will be open from noon to 8PMFireworks will be at Sand Hollow rec area. Sign up for water fitness and / or land fitnessPeach Days: Sept 3-5 includes movies in the park, rodeo, craft fair, home art displays and all of other crapola like food, games, fun for the kids, etc. BINGO, too. A shuttle will run between downtown Hurricane and some church. (Maybe I should set up a both offering funeral services)

Really, people? UT is averaging 500 new cases per day and you want to encourage people to go out and mingle.

It just boggles the mind.

And Chesney, just how are you going to pay for those independent victuals?

These are some really laid back folks!

I drove past our city swimming pool yesterday. It was packed with people. I haven’t seen so many people in the pool since the 1960’s. The 89° temperature might have something to do with that. Covid-19 rates are climbing, our governor is considering mandatory wearing of masks out in public. The chairwoman of the Republican party says that violates her rights. Yeah, her right to get sick.

What a mind picture. First really good laugh of the day. Thanks Graham!!!

I’m sitting here picturing Chesney on the tractor with Mieux Mieux (I know I spelled it incorrectly) and a basket of fried chicken and a jug of sweet tea, just like in the song.

Hilarious, simply Hilarious! XD Chesney on a tractor? Man, talk about a wild ride! On another note, saw a robin and a rabbit while out walking today. I also saw a sparrow outside.

My horrid neighbors, the ones whose Rottweilers killed one of my donkeys, are shooting off fireworks now. If they set my woods on fire…I will sue their pants off.
