I would play along…I would say “No Jeeves, that will be all, you may retire to your room. I shall require my morning coffee tomorrow at 6:00 AM sharp.” Then maybe say to the Mrs…“I knew there was a reason we kept him around”.
Don’t remember whether I was Elliott’s age or older when I started taking the garbage out. My first allowance, at a younger age, was so much per can (probably a dime) to bring them back from the curb.
