And sadly, the last day of my vacation. :( I’ve enjoyed every minute of my vacation, even the hours I spent yanking weeds out of my garden. But I’m taking the day off today. No gardening today. Just relax and read and wish my vacation could go on for another 6 days.
An idiot neighbor couldn’t get enough of celebrating July 4th, so at 3:30 in the morning on July 5th, he shot off a bunch more fireworks. The rest of the day yesterday was pretty quiet, with only a few firecrackers going off. No more really big booms.
OT: Early this AM, I saw a beautiful little ermine, hunting, in my gardens. It startled me and at first I thought it was a baby squirrel, until I looked closer. I interrupted its hunting a vole in the garden. And they are very fast. When it saw me, it leaped and bounded back into the forest. Hubby and I count those types of sightings as blessings.
On an episode of DOCTOR WHO, a little girl was very frightened and wasn’t raised Christian so she prayed to Santa for help. The Doctor showed up, instead. Although I’m 100% sure that Santa told the TARDIS. Maybe we need to send an SOS to Santa ourselves for Oliver.
ON ANOTHER NOTE (off subject) I just put this on FB: ‘Before I do anything else on FB today I am asking my friends and acquaintances to send a birthday card to a WW ll veteran who is/has been alone in a nursing home with no family, friends, etc. allowed to visit. AUGIE’S 98th birthday is this Sunday, July 12th. His very kind care giver, Kim Agostino Aufiero, called this request in to the Sid + Bernie Radio Show some weeks ago as ‘AUGIE’ is very sad and depressed and thinks ‘no one cares’. My card is written, stamped and ready to go out in tomorrow’s mail. He doesn’t know me but I blabbed on about little things in my message, as if we were old friends. IF you CAN do this, please send a card to: Kim Agostino Aufiero c/o ALWAYS THERE HOME HEALTHCARE, 2012 GREENWOOD LAKE TURNPIKE, HEWITT, NJ 07421’
(And when I blabb I BLABB). Heck, if it makes Augie smile, then it’s good blabbin’.
While Oliver’s heart is definitely in the right place, he probably shouldn’t be going alone. He should have the other kitties (and Annie) help him search for Chesney. On another note, saw a robin, a butterfly, a bumblebee, a dragonfly, and a millipede while out walking today.

My SIL made an authentic Shepherds Pie for dinner. Yum! They didn’t like it tho, they are more of steak and chop people. Good, more for me!
