    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp being called one of the bad characters of his area may be true , but without Andy we would not have met on this site , I mean all cappers past and present and become friends :o) my avatar is of Sleepy the dwarf , because I feel like that since I did not sleep a wink last night worrying about Connie going for a CT Scan this morning to check why she keeps getting heartburn :o{ how was your day? , ours will eventually become less stressing I hope , take care and BCNU pal

    Affie, Thanks and do hope that Connie’s CT Scan brings no cause for alarm. Good luck to her and, of course, you.

    If you stand still long enough, just about anything will come crawling by.

    OTOH, it is “deeply ingrained”.

    With a little jiggering, maybe that crane can be used to hold Andy upright.

    He is a sort of landmark, or canalmark as the case may be.

    Actually the problem is with the town’s old characters, not its character!

    First off he is not real. You have to be human to be an alcoholic. This is just humor at what we all may do when we have had a few to many to drink. This also reminds us to either watch how much we drink or that we shouldn’t drink.

    Like I said yesterday, Andy is the true definition of “riff raff” and he pretty much infects Hartlepool with his drunken, anti-social behaviour.

    @Afficionado

    I’m so sorry to hear this, Affie. My Dad suffers with heartburn. Cucumber is one of the things that set if off. He has to take antacids. When I was younger, I bought some from the shop for him but the lady was reluctant to sell them to me because she thought they were for me. I explained they were for my Dad. I managed to get them anyway. Not sure what that was all about.

    Sending much love and prayers to you.

    Stay safe and stay well, pal. Both of you.

    @JH&Cats

    Thank you for your kind comment yesterday. My blood type is O+

    Common as muck but still as useful!

    I’ve been giving blood for 8 years now. I hope you discover that you are now able to do it. Not sure where you live but over here in the UK they don’t let people donate if they’ve had a blood transfusion because of the whole Mad Cow business.

    Luckily, I’ve never had a transfusion but my Mum nearly needed one when she had me via emergency caesarean. I guess I didn’t want to be born. Haha.

    Andy is a classic good example of a bad example.

    People seem to forget that Andy is a War veteran. Many of his problems could stem from PTSD
