I’ll make sure my grandchildren believe in that (when I have them)!
The way I heard it is, “We don’t stop playing because we get old we grow old because we stopped playing.”
My sister knows me well, she gave me a T-shirt and a refrigerator magnet that say the same thing, “Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.”
My wife says that I have no inner child. It’s all on the surface and that I never had a second childhood because I never got out of my first.
There is a big difference between being child-like and childish.
I am a Child of God with the emphasis on “Child.”
As I child, I used to play until the street lights came on and I was called home. As an adult, I intend to do the same thing.
I never stopped having pun.

You’re going to live forever, Aunty. Of course, you’re burning the candles of others …
Aunty, you and I are alike in that respect. We certainly grew old, but not up.
Fully agree with Aunty. First digit of my age is 7 & still having lots of fun. In fact, more free time means more fun.
I’m still a 16 year old rebel – locked in an almost 72 year old body – still wear black leather jackets, too. Life is far too short not to have joy, laughter and fun.
Having fun is one time, but doing the things I did as a teenager ain’t gonna happen.
