He’ll have to double check her work to be sure the pages are meant to be stapled together.

Katy, your self-initiative is admirable. When I was young my parents didn’t have that kind of money. My self-initiative was to prey on the elderly. Raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc.

Lazy, inattentive Father. Child with stapler. What could go wrong?

Like the valid sentence “Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.”, “Staple staple staple.” is at least a somewhat complete sentence, i. e.:

“What is your job here, Katy?”

    “Staple(essential) staple(the actual staple) staple(the act of stapling)…” ☺

Father of mine?.. is there a question on who the father is.. is there any doubt? Given how much time he spend sleeping or at the coffee cafe..

She might be better at providing story ideas, she’ll probably be an over exuberant stapler.

Child labor laws forbid it. My dad got into a lot of trouble paying me to do woodworking before I was old enough.

Don’t laugh – stapling, helping my dad make copies (and not with a modern copier- original and paper went through one slot where original copied was copied to the paper, then the copy page went through a different slot to go through the developer, then the wet copy had to be hung up to dry). updating tax law books (take out old page, put in new), sorting tax forms in tax returns and such. By age 12 I progressed to adding up payroll books (listing of weekly payrolls including payroll taxes withheld) paid by dad’s clients which all led to a career as an accountant as dad was.
