There is a significant difference between coke and pepsi. I have a friend who did a blind taste test and correctly identified 5 different brands of cola. Me, I prefer diet Dr. Pepper, but I am trying to cut down in favor of crystal light pink lemonade.
I gave up soda in 1994 but one day a few years ago I was going thru Arbys and ordered a diet Dr Pepper. Sure tasted good after all of those years. Nothing since, tho. Crystal Light and Sparking Ice are my drinks of choice after water. At the local DQ, they carry Minute Maid Lemonade Light. For some reason, the people who fill the orders don’t seem to understand the difference between it and regular lemonade. (which is so sweet it makes me gag) I’ve finally just given up ordering anything.
For those looking around for other drink choices very low in sugar and/or carbs, try Welches diet grape juice; it comes in regular and white grape. Also, when I’m lucky, I can find Splash Diet drinks. I can get strawberry-banana.The other day at WM, I found Minute Maid Light Lemonade and Fruit Punch in the fridge section, along with Trop 50.
I ordered a coffee at McDonald’s drive thru with only cream. Even though there were sugar crystals on the top of the lid the employee assured me that it had no sugar. It tasted as sweet as root beer. He must have assumed that I’d drive off before tasting it. I talked to the manager on that one, I don’t like being lied to.
Don’t know how many times McDonald drive thrus have screwed up my order. Always check prior to driving off. The worst is when I order unsweet ice tea and I specifically ask the person handing it to me if it is Unsweet and they still get it wrong.
Yup. This week I waited twenty minutes in a local drive-thru … then had to wait twenty more since they forgot my fries. Good thing I didn’t have to be anywhere that night.

Diet Root Beer, that’s a low blow.

True, most diet root beer is foul. But not Barq’s.

What’s the purpose of diet root beer to begin with?
For the sake of flavor, some things are not meant to be “diet-ized”….

Diet Root Beer and Diet Dr Pepper are the closest to the originals! Diet Pepsi is truly the worst!

Or your Dr. Pepper is the real thing and NOT diet. So disappointing and undrinkable.

As a diabetic, I HAVE TO HAVE diet stuff. But I don’t mind it.
