Sdebarr was right yesterday, Hobart does look like Larry Tate. The school district must really be having problems if a “task force” consists of two people.
So, who wants to cut sports, Hobart or the other guy? Any guesses out there?
A lot of smaller towns have trouble finding people to fill thankless positions. The town I lived in a for a few years was openly advertising for spots on the Zoning Board of Appeals, and said outright they wouldn’t mind training people interested in being appointed.
I don’t recall Larry Tate in glasses. However, it’s a funny reference, If Larry, er Hobart doesn’t ease up, he could suffer the same fate as Arnold Brent.
So, the Longshots and Flo-Jo team up for a benefit concert to save Sports at Milford and have enough left over for a Naitonal Campaign to find the missing Thorp brood
What are they going to cut? It’s not like Milford ran out and added a bunch of heathen sports like soccer, tennis or golf. And they only have like four coaches. Come to think of it, when was the last time we saw any evidence this school has a band or drill team?
Milford does not have a spending problem, they have a revenue problem. They need to start charging higher ticket prices and seat licensing fees, plus lean on the boosters. WDIG should also contribute to this by paying a reasonable fee for their exclusive rights to Milford Sports. Time for Tate and Father Albert to start getting creative.
Ravenswing, I can attest to your comments about the Board of Zoning Appeals. In my one horse, tank town, I myself serve on that Board. I was brought on to the board with zero training. The out going member just handed me his “manual” book and said “good luck.”
Bearwku82, you’re right, Larry Tate didn’t wear glasses. Otherwise it’s a good resemblance. It would seal the Larry Tate deal if Hobart told the other guy, “I’m worried about you. You’ve been working too hard. Why don’t you take tomorrow off?”

Quickly now, in what language does “Hobart” mean “Friend”? This adventure could turn punchtastic by week’s end.

“Ease up?” What the hell? All they did yesterday was agree that the numbers looked good. Did we skip a day here?

miffedmax, didn’t the band geek steal the ghost’s girlfriend?

Wasn’t the Milford school band recently seen marching past the quarterback’s car, the one the linebacker broke into and stole $80?

Fat Albert vs Larry Tate.

Mea culpa. I missed those band references and bow to the superior knowledge of titus and Cliff.
For penance, I will perform 20 hrs of community service searching for the Thorp children.

Hmm, could Larry, I mean Hobart represent the tea party, and the other Obama (with a few, OK several, extra pounds)? They’re keeping things topical
I predict soon Milford will hit by an earthquake and the Milford nuclear plant will have to have Steve Luhm do some mopping

My civic pride is commendable…I guess.

Budget deficit? New hires always go first, like the new math teacher at the junior high/asst coach softball.

Hobart’s role model (P2) must be Doctor Evil
