Ever go to a hotel and gather up those little bottles of shampoo and soap? I have a sister-in-law who travels quite a bit. She couldnât use them all. So she gave them to my in-laws. They tried to pawn them off on me. I told them the truth. âYou give me the shampoo and I will just use it as a stain remover.â Father-in-law questioned this. âShampoo gets greasy hair clean⌠why not clothes as well?â He growled, âWhy didnât I think of that!â and took off with all the shampoo. Havenât seen (or been offered) one of those little bottles for years!!!! Also⌠I have a low priced bottle of shampoo next to my other stain removers such as hydrogen peroxide.
Iâd do some melodrama saying, âAugh! They got me! Gasp! Everythingâs turning dark⌠Gasp! Promise me youâll feed my cat and my dog after Iâm⌠gasp! .. gone!â
Fun History Facts (Wikipedia) Ketchup was originally a Chinese sauce! Somewhat like soy sauce with fish sauce. Ketchup is the closest pronunciation to the original word. It was brought back by sailors and centuries before it became a tomato sauce. Hereâs a quote âIn 1727, the first printed ketchup recipe appeared in The Compleat Housewife by Eliza Smith in England. It used anchovies, onions, vinegar, spices, and lemon peel â no tomatoes. It appears to have been people in Maine who first began using tomatoes.â
