I wonder how many people go around with this sort of self narrative running in their heads? Imagine little thought bubbles above everyone’s heads as they walk down the street, drive their cars, floating above the rest room stalls…..no…scratch that one.
Well, whoever was the Tusken Raider, he / she helped Jen’s cause by blasting Ralph’s Pod. I guess Ralph reminded them of a young Anakin Skywalker – and hey who didn’ want to shut that kid up.
IIRC from the book, The Right Stuff, test pilots in trouble would radio back “Trying ‘A’… Trying ‘B’… Trying ‘C’…” and so on since they had pre-planned what-to-do-if-X-happens scenarios. That, and no time to describe what was going on since things were a bit sporty. They were trained and briefed on what should/might get them out of trouble during the tests. Not too many made it to or beyond “Trying ‘D’.” Not a job for the timid or over-thinking crowd (“There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but not too many old, bold pilots” as they used to say).

It’s an homage to the opening panels of Frank Miller’s “Dark Knight” series
