I used to love fishing trips. But 10 minutes of actual fishing was enough.

To add more excitement, watch the grass grow.

My Grandpa Lew made his own rubber lures :) Grandma Ruth finally bought him his own cast iron frying pan to use to hold the molds cause he kept ruining hers! That’s one of my favorite memories of Grandpa Lew, sitting in his old wooden rowboat, happily fishing :)

Wooden Rowboat. My grandpa told us tales of having boat caulking parties! Got the Gang together, cases of beer all the tools, etc. Loads of Fun til the wives showed up!

Losing track of time, losing track of what’s happening in the world is the best part of fishing.

Now that I’ve tried it, I prefer fly fishing because you’re always active and watching. Bobber fishing is a great way to have a lazy morning (or afternoon).
