Conveniently invite your mother to stay with you a while and that should help speed things up. Just not enough room.

Hey, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Since when do you have high standards, Phil?

I wouldn’t be happy either if a trumpet playing freeloader was in my house with no end in sight. LOL, Plods… so true!

And we Americans do not want to walk more than ten feet from where we park our car to where we are going (I’m guilty of it, too.). I worked in the U.K. for a month once and was provided a flat. I had a very nice 15 minute walk to work each day. Did not use gas and was good for my health.

My town recently got one light rail line working and the newspaper was complaining that once you got downtown you might have to walk 15 minutes from the station to your office. Good grief, have we become total wimps as a people and country?

A bicycle doubles or triples the practical range.

It’s nice to see Elly smiling and happy while working with the kids (and vice versa) instead of yelling for a change.

Every year there is a race from North Vancouver to downtown Vancouver between a marathoner, bicycle, moped, car, and bus. The bicycle always wins. In addition, a man on a ten-speed is the most efficient means of transportation in gram/meters per joule expended - followed closely by a woman on the same. Better health is just a by-product.

Steven Wright and TexTech aren’t considering the people who have little children, heavy shopping, or arthritis.

In Houston I rode a bike 5 miles out of town to work. My brother drove 5 mls into town. We got off work at the same time and I almost always beat him home. Then I beat him at home.

Not really, he was bigger than me.
