And what do you think is behind that door?

I sort of understand the desire to put this year behind us but I don’t really think next year will be any better. Maybe we get a better president but that is about it.

A better president, some protection against the virus, an opportunity to reboot the economy…

The biggest difference will be the opportunity for change. Maybe we can finally get serious about addressing climate change, along with the many other neglected crises.

I want to apologize to my grandchildren, even though I was raised by depression era parents who taught me to use it up, make it do, or do without. And we managed without plastics for many years, I don’t see why we can’t cut back on so much plastic. And lying. Who needs a person in charge who can’t recognize the truth if he sits on it? No parent would set an example like that. Yet a world leader…
