When we first got our dog, he was curious about me but really did not want to approach me. He’d sometimes even leave the room if I came in.
Outside the house, he is an entirely different dog and wants to play (which we do).
I think he’s finally accepting me. When a thunderstorm comes up, he comes into my den and lies down next to me. I don’t know if I am supposed to protect him or he thinks he’s protecting me. I give him a quick pet and go on with my business.
