No permission for murder movies! In our town a woman killed her husband and her lover, sawed them in pieces, put them into buckets and filled the buckets with the dead men inside with cement and hided all in her cellar.
Tere was a 2003 FoxTrot (not FoxTrot Classics) where Roger thought M on video games meant âmildâ. If Calvin was alive, he would have wished that Mom thought âRâ is for⊠help here!
Donât remember what âRâ in the movies means. When automatic trans first came out for cars the rumor was that âDâ was for âDriveâ and âRâ was for âRaceâ.
Yesterday Calvin closed by saying, ââŠi donât understand math at all.â Today heâs quite familiar with âirrelevant tangents.âI think Calvin is hyperbolizing in both cases.
I guess so long as Calvin didnât make a mess of the house or the yard or destroy the car, his thinking could be as perverse as he pleased. Maybe he actually deserved Moe.(oneâs mind can take on a stark clarity between an all-nighter and oneâs first cup of morning CocoMocha)
Mom knows that if Calvin watches the movie in the afternoon, sheâs the one who will be up all night consoling Calvin from his nightmares. I also miss Hobbes.
<< gmartin997 said: âWhat has happened to Hobbes?â >>Hi gmartin997Iâve been busy on a new project and I havenât been commenting here much lately. Also, the early Calvin and Hobbes strips donât inspire a lot of in-depth discussion. But I still keep up on the daily strips and the comments.
Here is a parallel Peanuts strip for today:Peanuts, 1958
Learned at an early age not to be afraid of the dark by having to walk five miles home in the dark down a lonely country road after seeing the midnight horror movie in town. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end all the way.
@Destiny23,Thatâs food for thought. You processed it well.
BTW, with regard to your question, âDoes God have a beard?â.âGod is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. â John 4:24 God is omnipresent. However, God may appear at any time and place, and in any form. Also, when he became human as the Lord Jesus Christ, he had a beard.âI gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.Isaiah 50:6
Those old, cheesy Japanese Godzilla movies from the 1950âs were the lip movements never synched with the words they were saying were scary enough for me when I was a kid!
And now for something irrelevant:Perverse Rule No.67. Never go off on tangents, which are lines that intersect a curve at only one point and were discovered by Euclid, who did his work in the sixth century, which was an era dominated by the Scyths, who lived in what we now know as the Ukraine, but later the Goths lived there, who invaded the Roman Empire and plundered Rome, which is a very nice city to visit with many churches full of art like the Pieta, which was carved by Michaelangelo, whose name means âMichael the Angelâ, who is actually not an artist but an archangel with a feast day on September 29, which is a good day to have a picnic with your girlfriendâwho wishes you would just avoid tangents and stick to the point.
Could someone remind me how to make those cute hearts, diamonds, smiley faces, etc.? A few months ago I wrote an explanation to help other people, but I must remember it wrong, because now it doesnât work for me.

Whatâs better than whirling knives and a nice blood blend. Kind of like an attack by a Siberian tiger.

I never wanted to see movies like that when I was 6. The Watching Wizard of Oz was scary enough as it was.

Thatâs an exceedingly mild reaction, considering. But then, so were both parentsâ reactions to a lot of Calvinâs psychoses.

Mom thinks the book is better, Calvin. Ask to read her copy after she finishes with it.

How old is Calvin?
He only looks about 6.. His mother is in her right mind by asking him to do something else.
