At least you HAVE friends, Ralph!

Car horns can be pretty scary.

Isn’t the ‘No-Neck’ behind the wheel in the last panel? It’s been AGES since I last saw him! What’s shakin’, No-Neck? LOL

Just consider yourself lucky they’re not throwing rocks.

Better they honk to say “Hello” to you than out of frustration because they missed you.

Honk if you love Ralph.

He’s actually getting some exercise?

Agreed. Maybe once upon a time, honking at a pedestrian mean “Hi there”. Today it means something quite unprintable.

As a non-driver since the seventies, I don’t know how long it took me to realize that the unidentified drivers I thought were honking greetings to me as I walked across parking lots in the 2000s were just locking or unlocking their vehicles remotely.

Horns are supposed to be for alerting other drivers, not for beeping friends. Just saying.

Jimmy Durante was a big honker when he drove.

What happens to me frequently is that someone passes me in a car, honks, and I can make out a silhouette of a waving person, but I haven’t the foggiest who it is.

In Seattle the police view honking of horns as aggressive driving.

Leave out an ear bud. Might hear them coming.

Don’t play your music so loud when you’re out walking. On my bike, I would NEVER date to listen to music or make phone calls. (I pull over to take phone calls.) But a lot of people, including by 13 year old nephew, do that.

Friends is a word we use every day. But most the time we use it in the wrong way.Now you can look the word up again and again… But the dictionary doesn’t know the meaning of friends!

Maybe you should check you fly.

Ralph might be lying to us. Judging by his quick turn in the other direction, my guess is that Ralph owes that guy money.

He must think he has a fan club when the geese fly by…

I thought the horn was to warn of problems?
