Once when I reported for a new job, the company was short on equipment, so I spent two weeks reading company documents while I waited for a word processor. Finally, I brought my blender from home, filled it with scrap from the paper shredder, and put it on my desk with a sign that said: Word Blender: A Primitive Form Of Word Processor. Within two days, I had a WP unit on my desk and was doing what I was really supposed to do.
