I hate coffee. I’ve had friends send me packets of “gourmet” to try to get me to drink it. Nope. The one time I tried it in a diner was after the bar and I put so much sugar and milk in it, and STILL hated it!
I’ll stick to my tea and hot chocolate, thank you :)
Good coffee doesn’t need to be doctored. My favorite blend is Eight O’Clock – the old A&P coffee, which is still available at most grocery stores. I’ve had people tell me it’s the best they’ve ever had and are surprised when I tell them what it is.
Despite what I posted in one of the former strips in this sequence, I just remembered when I went to coffee break. When I was a little girl my dad shared office space with my mom’s brother (two professionals in different sort of related professions). Uncle had a secretary.
My dad would bring me into the office at least once a year – December 24, his logic was no one really works that day anyway – and when they would coffee break, my dad would make me cocoa to join them. Back then nothing like Mr. Coffee (1950s to early 60s). They had a heating coil – it would be put in the water and heat it for instant coffee – so I just got instant cocoa instead.

It’s not about cream and sugar, it’s about the roast.

I learned to drink coffee about her age by dipping chocolate chip cookies into it and eating the cookies
After soaking a half dozen cookies in a cup of coffee, there was a cookie-coffee sludge left in the cup that tasted like heaven to this 8 year old

Uh oh. The dread “urk” reaction. Hurry, drop a couple of Oreos in the hot coffee and you’ll have her hooked.

I am more than a little unsure about those cauliflower cookies. Does not sound to good. But who knows. Hard to say without a recipe.

The deal was to find a coffee she’d like, she didn’t like it. Course she didn’t make a cookie you’d like.
