A Fred sitter would be perfect! I bet you could look at her with big, soulful basset eyes and charm her into giving you extra treats, and belly rubs, and maybe extra walks. She’d be putty in your paws.
We have done that a couple times. It’s really hard to get good sitters. One of them went off to college and the other joined the army. We paid $25 an hour and free food (in the midwest).
Our sitter switched from taking them out to her ranch (big dogs in the barn, little dogs had the run of the house when not out in the play yard) to what she called “Drink and Drain” service a number of years ago.
