So I’m sitting on my patio ( in the heat). With a nice glass of wine when Mr. Coyote comes out from between the houses across the fairway, saunters down to the lake and sits down in front of a bush. A group of ducks were swimming toward him. Suddenly the ducks turned and swam to the middle of the lake and flew away. Not today Mr. Coyote, not today.
National Beer Day. The only kind of “beer” I drink is root beer. And I neglected to drink that root beer float yesterday. Maybe I’ll have one tomorrow instead.
National Water Balloon Day. We sold out of water balloons in our Walmart store weeks ago. I don’t know of anyplace around here where you could buy any. Unless Part City has some.
National Lighthouse Day
National Raspberries & Cream Day. I’d love some raspberries right now – even without the cream.
In reply to j8-88 from yesterday who said, "My regular computer (I have a few) started crashing every 30 seconds to 10 minutes, so I took it into the “squad” of a store with the initials “BB” yesterday.
They said they would run diagnostics on my computer for $100 in advance.
Then they would call me, and I would have to cough up another $150 before they would actually attempt to fix anything, no matter what the repair. Huh?"
When I had computer problems a few years ago, someone from the electronics department of my Walmart told me Whatever you do, don’t have it fixed by the Geek Squad". She said they were way overpriced and I could do better someplace else – anyplace else. I took it to a place – I think t’s called Computer Works or something like that and I was very happy with them.
To MDMom from yesterday who said, " I once had a vintage VW, that had a whole hole on the floor!"
My dad had a ‘63 BelAire that had a good-sized hole in the floor on the front passenger side. My brother, Daniel took his road test for his driver’s license in that car. The driving test guy asked Daniel, “Am I going to fall through this hole?” I don’t know how Daniel answered him. I might have said, “Well, so far, nobody has fallen through it”
My friend got another feral kitten yesterday. She noticed him in one of the planters and he was so weak he couldn’t run away from her. He looks like a baby Scooter – all black and pointy nosed. She started him on pedidalyte and some meds for his runs. She gave him the heartbeat kitty, which he loves. Today, he’s doing SO much better. He’s eating, drinking and the other end is a lot better. She sent me a picture and he’s skinny but cute. He has 3 siblings she would like to get, along with the mama but so far, no luck on getting any of them.
Uh oh, looks like those treats might get Oliver into trouble after all. On another note, saw a finch while out walking today. I also saw three dragonflies outside.

Purple Heart Day
