Looks like Susie’s about to wi 25 cents. Assuming Calvin doesn’t welch on the bet.

That’s a pretty unusual thing to do for a space hero.

“Hurling toward Planet 5?” There were a few parties in my distant past where I felt like that.

Boy, it’s sure taking a long, convoluted process to add 6+5. Susie may win the bet after all.

I’m glad I finally got an explanation for the premise of the movie “When Worlds Collide”.

The answer is to turn the accelerator up to 11.

This system is right next to Duck Dodger’s Planets A through X. Maybe Spiff can find some Eludium Phosdex, the Shaving Cream molecule.

Sometimes the incongruities in Calvin and Hobbes are a riot unto themselves. That Spaceman Spiff would keep an 18th century iron boat anchor on board his high-tech space vessel is just too much fun for words.

In the words of Khan Noonien Singh…

I still don’t see how he’s going to get 11 out of this.

Spiff’s ship is about to be shot down.

It is easier to stay still and move the universe around you.

The school year is going to be over before Calvin gets an answer to this math problem.

For being just a simple daily strip the art work is awesome, the anchor, the knot on the rope, the rubble where the anchor dug in, every panel is from a different perspective. The art work almost tells the story without the words.

The suspense is just killing me….

Planet 5 from Outer Space. Plan 9 was the worst movie ever made.

Maybe it’s just cartoon physics. But Planet 5 seems to be larger than Planet 6. This is after all the Mysterio planetary system.

This is going to be interesting as to how this turns out.

I’m thinking there is going to be no addition here but a negative outcome!

Like I said before, Calvin puts so much energy into his overactive imagination instead trying to figure out a simple math equation! But I guess that’s what makes Calvin, Calvin.

If memory serves me, I think he will actually.come.with the.correct anwser.

Methinks he needs a slightly larger gauge of rope…

Why would a spaceship have gears that need to be shifted?

Impercetabily seems an interesting word rarely used. Apart from arithmetic this comic strip also enriches our vocab. Kudos to BW.

Another thought on my part … perhaps Spaceman Spiff needs an overthruster and help from the black lectroids.
