That reminds me. I need to clean out my drawers and put some of that in the drop off box near my house. I have a bunch of size 18 pants that are too big for me.
Sadly, the Goodwill near us has been closed during the pandemic. We’re saving discarded clothes in bags in the trunk until our local station re opens or we find another outlet that is open.
The Goodwill in my area has been inundated with donations. Some rude people have even dumped their stuff while it’s closed at night. Meanwhile I drove to the next town (not far) and dropped my stuff off at the Salvation Army. But I live in a large metro area so there are options.
The only Goodwill store in our town shut down about a year or so ago but we do have a Habitat For Humanity Re-Store though. They were closed for about three months after this started and are finally open again but for the time-being, they’re no longer taking anything made of fabric because they can’t be easily wiped down with disinfectant hand wipes. Given that they have no idea where their donated stuff comes from, can’t say as I blame them for that.
Do any of you have a Next Door account or belong to another neighbor app? Here in Portland, you can post you have donations and ask if anyone knows of anyone accepting. There might be organizations you don’t know about. Also, could be some people now just handing out stuff on their own. They might appreciate the extra donations. You could also just post what stuff you have on the free section. You may have neighbors in need who could benefit. I am not on Facebook, but I have heard that many neighborhoods have free stuff groups on FB. You could do one of those as well. We were able to give away some nice gently used clothes to a couple who give out food and clothing from their home. Really cool. : )

There are 3 thrift stores here in Loveland, Co and all three are open nowand accepting donations
From what I see their stock is low, I wonder where all those things people were cleaning out of their closets went while the stores were closed down

Well, good for you, Cathy, for trying to donate, at least. Maybe another location would take the items … ?
