Oh! I Googled ‘Onion Festival’! I could be tempted to go to any and all of them! Pity this blasted quarantine has shut down the world! I would have a feast! Guess I will just have to look up a bunch or recipes to cook at home!
Onions are part of my cooking trinity that I incorporate into much of my dishes – along with the other two parts – peppers, and garlic! Tomatoes are the other cooking staple I frequently use.
Many years ago, one of the older members of our church started eating lots of garlic to ward off diseases. It sure warded off the other members of the congregation!

Social distancing ? I go for anti-social garlic bread
One baguette, thick sliced ( don’t cut all the way through )slab of butter, softenedfive gloves of garlic, pressed
combine the butter and garlicsmother both sides of the slices wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 350 F for 15 minutes
