I’ve survived over 15 trees from my yard.

SO, just how many wars were there in prehistoric times? Maybe one BIG one eons ago that made us start all over with stick and stones?

Hmmm… what colorful rings you have my dear! Dark ones that look like floods! Thin ones that look like drought. Bright red ones that look like pools of blood. And is that a spearhead embedded in that time era???

And that just means the wars that were near him.

In B.C. would those be dinosaur wars?Because there seems to be only 7 or 8 humans in existence. And they all seem to be friendly to each other, except for the fat lady.

Yeah, those humans just mess up EVERYTHING! :-)

I don’t know what the criteria are for a war to be considered major, but I’m only 62 years old and there have been 15 wars during my lifetime.

Here’s a list of “major” wars, but it only covers the 20th century. If we consider the three wars during this century on the other list major, then I’ve survived the past 14 major wars, so I’m only a few years younger than the tree.

I have to wonder what their definition of Wars is.

What ever the meaning , nothing ever good comes out of it .

Compared to the many forms of non-mobile plant life, humans are ephemeral.

“We” are fine. It’s “them” over there that stink.

I find this extremely offensive, and will not be sharing this page any longer for a while.

IF I may go serious a moment, one oak tree survived the Murrah bombing in OKC 25+ years ago. It was not removed and was protected. It has thrived and is much larger now. A couple years or so ago, clippings were taken from the tree and given to people to plant. It was a bit of beauty amidst the horror and serves as a reminder of the first act of domestic terrorism on US soil.

right now it would be how many forest fires it survived if it was out West.

I hope we can AVOID another stupid war. What is so CIVIL about war anyway??

Tree, it’s not polite to talk with your mouth full of our rotting remains. Now go tell that to Stephen King.

Trees have battles, but they take much longer.

Very common misconception that humans are the only animals that wage war (although we definitely have the biggest global impact).

So quite young.
