Clayton you should have thought of that before you bothered your dad.

Pumping his own air? What next? Taking off his training wheels? Joining the neighborhood biker gang?

Asking your dad who’s spent two weeks already with back issues to pump your bike tires? Kinda cold…

The chill should pass just as soon as you’re no longer grounded.

I am really sorry for Adam. I can feel the pain. He should have gone with the drugs.

When I came home after major surgery, and ten days in the hospital, Youngest Daughter wanted me to mend a pair of pants for her. Fortunately, Eldest Daughter told her – and me – she’s offered to do it several times. YD was lucky I felt too awful to strangle her.

If, heaven forfend, anything happens to Laura, the whole gang will be off to foster care.

My sister and I (she was 10, I was 12) learned how to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner one year when my mom was laid up with a blood clot in her leg. My sister and I have been cooking individual items for several years, but that year was the first one we did with mom only advising from a distance. She was in the back bedroom at the other end of the house (thankfully it was a small house).

Amazing how dependence on others fades when those others become dependent on us.

A couple of 500mg methocarbamol pills four times a day will fix that back for you. Too bad big pharma won’t let you buy it in the US.

Our 12 year old granddaughter lives with us, my wife is early 50s and I’m late 50s

She’s learned what she can expect grandparents to be able to do, and what not to expect

Sometimes we surprise her, we are not THAT old

Adam is certainly showing an amazing tolerance to pain. I’d have been yelling GIMME SOME DRUGS! long ago.
