Many years ago the Shoemaker-Levy Comet broke up and struck Jupiter as a “string of pearls”, each of which released megatons of energy into Jupiter’s atmosphere. At the time, it occurred to me that, if there were Jovians and they had not had religion before, they would have religion now.
